If you haven’t learned this yet, your big spiffy camera is no better than a point and shoot! You’ll learn how to shoot in manual mode- which has endless creative opportunities. My third Beginning Photography Workshop will be held on Sunday, April 17 from 4-7pm at Chisholm Trail Park in Yukon.  This is for photography lovers who are just beginning and have an SLR camera (not point and shoot).  You’ll learn how to master your camera’s manual functions instead of relying on the auto settings. This allows you to unleash your creativity on how your photos look!  The first two hours will be instructional, and the last hour will be practicing the techniques on a hired model.  Spots are limited, so reserve yours soon!

UPDATE: Class will start at 3pm and end approximately at 6pm. 3-5pm will be class lecture and learning the camera, and 5-6pm will be actual shooting with a hired model.

Have you heard of Trash the Dress sessions? Sounds scary after spending all that money on a wedding dress, but have no fear…its not as bad as it sounds! These sessions are similar to bridal portraits, but more artistic (less traditional) and are taken after the wedding day. We don’t “trash” it, unless you want to. ha. Most of the time, the dress gets a little dirty, but nothing that can’t get cleaned.

Ashley was married not too long ago and loved the idea of these. We met at Turner Falls for her session and we definitely got a workout hiking to our spots. It was such a cool place! Here are some of the favs:

I’m starting off the new year with a new blog! I actually won this new fancy custom blog last year in Vegas at a photography convention. Almost a year later, I’m finally getting it up and running.
